Pool length not be longer than 25 meters, could be shorter for older age groups. Shot clock is still 35 secs.
Important changes that Masters players should be aware of are:
1. Talking a shot on goal from 6 meters after a foul. There are several ways to do this, even if the foul occurs inside the 6 meter line. Need to be aware of this rule change offensively and defensively.
2. Goalies need to know about being ejected and the penalty shot retake if they move before the whistle on a penalty shot.
3. Only the head needs to surface for on the fly Sun changes. Hands no longer need to touch.
4. Goalie can receive the ball in the back court if he is the only offensive player in that half. There are other changes affecting crossing the half court line too.
5. Counter attacks are no longer stopped by dumping the ball close to the attacking player with advantage. Another follow up player can get the ball and pass to the driver on the counter.
These were the major changes that stood out in my first reading. Good teams will take advantage of each of these changes so be ready.
