Blue Thunder's Water Camp was held the weekend of March 15-17 in Manhattan Beach, CA.  

Blue Thunder's 75+ Team had a Gold Medal repeat performance in Doha, Qatar during the World Aquatics Masters Championships, March 2024.Our 70+ team came in 6th place against very good competition.  Our Club has participated in every world masters competition since 2004 (under the name of KAOS until 2015).

Master's Nationals in June 2024 saw the following results

50+: 7th place

65+: 2nd Place

70+: 3rd Place

75+: 1st Place

Blue Thunder's Water Camp will be held the weekend of March 10-12 in Camarillo, CA.  

We entered multiple teams in the USAWP Master's Nationals and FINA Master's in  Kumamoto, Japan in early August. 

75+ Gold medal

70+ Fourth Place

65+ Bronze Medal

60+ Fifth Place

2022

Blue Thunder entered 6 teams in  the 2022 USAWP Master's Nationals in Orange County, CA. The dates were  August 26 to August 28, 2022. Read more about the results here.

2021

USA Water Polo National Award Winner - Blue Thunder's own Chris Bakkie

Chris Bakkie lives and plays in  Des Moines, Iowa.   He has been on several Blue Thunder  teams in the  past as well as a Camp attendee.  USA Water Polo has recognized Chris  for his organizing efforts with the 2018 Barbara Kalbus Distinguished Volunteer Award: Chris Bakkie, Des Moines Water Polo Summer Tournament. 2019

In  March 2019, Greg and his staff  built upon last year's Camp skills and strategies.  These skills and  strategies need to become part of every Club member's individual  practice.  They are the foundation for all tournament competitions. 

In  June 2019, Blue Thunder Masters entered 6 teams (out of 47 teams in the  Men's Divisions) in the USAWP Masters Nationals.  By far, the most from  any Club.  3 of the BTMWPC Teams earned medals in their Divisions.   Overall, the play was tough, everyone got to work on building as a team,  practicing the skills from Camp and enjoying the spirit of playing  water polo.
45+ Division: 5th Place
50+ Division: 3rd Place
60+ Division: 1st and 5th Place
65+ Division: 3rd and 4th Place
