2026 Blue Thunder Masters Nationals

Moving up from the 50s this year, the 2026 squad played four very competitive games and came away with a 3rd place finish!

In 2026 Blue Thunder fielded a full squad of 60+ players without relying on dual roster substitutes.  Many were newly back in the pool.  In a very tough division the team got better after every game and left California determined to spend the next year getting even more competitive!

With many players moving up to the 70s this year, Blue Thunder was still able to field a cohesive team in the 65+ age bracket.  They played well and lost a couple of heartbreakers in the final minutes, but still managed to pull off a 3rd place finish. 

Blue Thunder continued the tradition of fielding a FULL team of 70+ athletes this year.  The fiercely battled the other teams in their division and took home a bronze medal!

Once again, Blue Thunder proudly fielded the only 75+ team in the tournament.   Their gold medal was well deserved considering they had to play all of the "youngsters" on the 70+ teams to earn it!

2026 was a historic year for Blue Thunder.  We had the second largest training camp turnout in our history, sent teams to Nationals in FIVE age groups, brought home FOUR medals and made serious inroads with some 40+ athletes looking to form another Blue Thunder squad in that age bracket.
